Long Form Narrative Workshop, March 2019

Long Form Narrative Workshop
with Lilly Dancyger

The Cedar Ridge Writers Series proudly presents Lilly Dancyger, memoir editor at Narratively, on teaching long form narrative nonfiction in a day-long workshop at Cedar Ridge Farm in bucolic Bedminster, New Jersey, on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

The day starts at 10:15 am with a short meet & greet, followed by a full agenda of generative writing exercises to create solid steps toward building fuller personal essays, reading analysis, sharing work (optional,) free writing time, and more, all in front of one of three  blazing fireplaces, and in five cozy rooms.

Author, editor, and MFA professor Lisa Romeo, co-host of the Cedar Ridge Writing Series, will give a lunch time talk on transforming essays into her full-length memoir, Starting with Goodbye.

Bring lunch if you like; homemade soup, fruit, and snacks will be available throughout the day.

Two bedrooms are available in The Cottage at the farm for overnight stays. Please contact Ryder for details

The day ends with a wrap-up Q&A around 4pm.
